Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas will have their 5th Dachtoberfest event celebrating our love and devotion for the dachshund breed. This major fundraising event raises money for DDRTX in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dachshunds and dachshund mixes that are lost and abandoned in South Central Texas.
Join us November 8th, 2025 from 10am – 4pm at the Helotes Festival Grounds located at 12210 Leslie Road, Helotes, Texas 78023. Pet friendly and kid friendly, this family fun-filled day will have dachshund races, vendors, food trucks, and a silent auction.

Registration opens March 1, 2025 Register your dachshund (dachshund mixes welcome) to be a part of the races! There are five divisions to race in: Turtle Division – for those special needs dachshunds; Senior Division – for dachshunds 10 years and older; Mini Division – for the smallest of the dachshunds under 12 lbs; Tweenie Division – for dachshunds that aren’t quite mini and aren’t quite standard that fall between 12 lb and 20 lbs; and the Standard Division -for the bigger dachshunds 20 lbs and above. Top three winners in each division win prizes and medals!
