Ruben – aka Count Ruben

In the parking lot of Whataburger on August 10, 2019, Ruben (AKA Count Ruben to his fans) chose us to be his furever family. He knew even before we did that we were meant to be. His wise and wonderful foster Mama Andrea Green had packed a “go bag” to take with us “just in case” and he never looked back. He spent his days as co-therapist with his mom and keeping badgers out of the yard while his daddy worked. His biggest challenge was bonding with his sister Iris and teaching her to be a dog. He filled a place in our hearts we didn’t even know was empty. We loved him so much and he brought us and his sister such joy. Our deepest gratitude to DDRTX and his foster mama Andrea for sending him to us. We can’t wait to see him again someday at the Rainbow Bridge.
